Are these Britool Hallmark E-Torx sockets suitable for impact wrenches?
No. These are Chrome Vanadium hand-tool sockets and are not impact-rated. They are intended for use with suitable manual 3/8" drive hand tools, such as ratchets, extension bars and other compatible accessories. For impact applications, an appropriately rated Cr-Mo E-Torx impact socket should be used instead.
What is the difference between E-Torx and standard Torx sockets?
E-Torx, also known as external Torx, is designed to fit around an external star-shaped fastener head. Standard Torx tools have a male Torx profile that fits inside a corresponding Torx screw or bolt head. The Britool Hallmark set contains female E-Torx sockets, designed specifically for external Torx fasteners.
